Dr. Jan (who sells JP) stated that it is “extraordinarily safe” even though only 1 published study monitored side effects, and a hive-like rash occurred in 1/20 subjects. Bloating, diarrhea and cramps are also common. JP has little or no effect on homocysteine, does not reduce DNA oxidation, and has NEVER been shown to “enhance by 200-400% every blood marker used to determine immune strength” as was claimed. It is deficient in many nutrients and should never be substituted for a prenatal vit.

The pregnancy study (conducted by a JP distributor), was not randomized, blinded or placebo controlled. It ran in a lowly non-reviewed rag (JANA) that publishes studies for the nutraceutical industry. It did not show a significant effect on preclampsia as claimed and was so poorly executed that none of the data/conclusions can be trusted.
